"KNAPPE SATTE ZEIT" is an illustrated poem about the inevitability of impending time and our inability to make provisions in time.

"We didn’t expect it would happen so fast. We got too comfortable in our seats. We watched as time worked its way and took no measure of prevention. We didn’t replace the glass, already full, as the drops kept falling in. We saw the avalanche running towards us and we didn’t move. We were scared but not scared enough. And so it happened. We lost all we had only to begin again to forget to take measures in time."

This project was done during my first Master's semester at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) and is inspired by chapter 70 of Sebastian Brant's 1494 epic poem "Ship of Fools". My own epic poem was written in German, my third language, in 2023 (with a little help from my friends).
